Eleanor A. M. Culver, B.A., M.A.,C.P.H.R.

Eleanor Culver Real HRIn May 2009, Eleanor founded Real HR Inc., an organization responsible for assisting small to midsized businesses with realizing their operational goals through the development of sound human resources processes, procedures, and policies.

Real HR provides specific project-based work, facilitation, and ongoing advisory support relating to all aspects of human resources management including staffing, employee relations, benefits, compensation, employee development, organizational development, government compliance, internal and external communication, performance management, human resources strategy, leadership development, and board governance.

Real HR’s clients include companies in oil and gas, retail, health and the not-for-profit sector. Combining over 30 years’ Human Resources experience with her sense of humour and pragmatic approach, Eleanor provides clients with practical HR solutions to their business challenges. Together, the Real HR team has over 40 years’ experience in human resources.

A life-long career HR Professional, Eleanor has a reputation for her practical HR approach; one in which the HR Practitioner is a partner in the business and a provider of real solutions to operational issues. Prior to the founding of Real HR, Ms. Culver was:

• VP, Human Resources & Administration, Century Oilfield Services from 2006-2009
• HR Manager Canada Region, Halliburton Energy Services from 2004-2006
• Director, HR, Calgary Flames Ltd. From 1997-2004
• HR Advisor, Alberta Energy Organization (now EnCana Corp and Cenovus) from 1990-1997

Eleanor holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, and has held her designation as a Certified Professional in Human Resources (“CPHR”) since 1996. She completed her Certified Personal Business Coach accreditation in 2003 and her Master of Arts degree in Leadership in 2014. Eleanor is a member in good standing of the Human Resources Institute of Alberta (HRIA) and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). If you are interested in the ways in which leaders can enhance organizational adaptability in a volunteer organization, her thesis can be found in the national archives here.

On weekends, you can usually find Eleanor sweating it out in a boxing ring or yoga class, spending quality time with family and friends, or chasing after the next adventure through downhill skiing and mountain biking.

Joshua Dahm, B.B.A., C.P.H.R. Candidate

Joshua fits into the Real HR team well with a shared passion
for delivering fulsome HR solutions to improve operational efficiencies. Joshua helps to improve Real HR’s scope by bringing data analytics and HR Information System proficiencies.

Throughout his career, Joshua has developed knowledge in L&D and on-boarding program development, compensation and total rewards, A&D management, policy development and HR data analysis. Joshua also has experience taking on significant projects, including designing compensation surveys, redesigning on-boarding programs, and creating in-house HRIS systems.

Joshua loves HR because of his passion for enabling employees to perform in their jobs and rely on the company to support and value them. Joshua is passionate about helping companies station their people to be in the right position, with the right systems and the right structure to maximize efficiencies. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources Management and General Management with a concentration in International Business from Mount Royal University. He is currently working towards attaining his Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CHPR) designation.

Stella Husnjak, B.H.S.

The most recent addition to our team, Stella, loves everything human-related. Over her career, she has honed her communication, customer service, human relations and, problem-solving skills while working as a:

Stella holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Political Sciences from the University of Zagreb. Her Master thesis sheds light on the rising climate of female presence in dominantly masculine Latin American politics.

Throughout her working life, Stella gained experience in international and diverse environments which brought her to realize that a career with a focus on people, communication, planning, and organization should be her specialization. She is currently working towards attaining her Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation.

When she is not working, you can find Stella volunteering on the crisis line (she is currently undertaking the Calgary Distress Centre Volunteer training program), helping new immigrants settling their lives, or enjoying the beauty of the Canadian Rockies.

Carolyn Munnoch, B.Des., H.D.B.P.A, C.P.I.

Our resident jack-of-all trades is Carolyn. She is the newest member of the Real HR Inc. team, having recently returned to Canada after six years in Australia.

Bolstering our ability to support our clients HR technology needs, Carolyn has eighteen (18) years’ media industry experience. She has developed strong business documentation, web-site design, and maintenance skills. Carolyn has an eye for detail developed through years of conducting pre-release reviews of publications and documents focused on format, content, accuracy, appropriate acknowledgement, copyright infringement and plagiarism.

Over her career she has led several large-scale web-site development projects and has a proven track-record managing business and technical teams. She is a strong project manager with extensive experience in the preparation of key project, business, and general office documentation. She enjoys working in an environment where she can focus on people and find solutions to clarify and resolve complex challenges.

Carolyn holds a Bachelor of Visual Communications degree from the Alberta University of the Arts, and has worked extensively in marketing, advertising, and graphic design with various responsibilities related to HR in addition to her technical roles. When not working, you can find Carolyn walking Ernie her chocolate Labrador Retreiver, teaching Pilates, or baking up a storm for friends and family (did we mention she also has a diploma in Baking and Pastry Arts from SAIT?).

Cassidy Schock

We are thrilled to have Cassidy Schock working with the Real HR Inc. Cassidy is a co-op business student, specializing in human resources, at Mount Royal University. She has a wealth of experience in customer-facing roles and brings a fresh new perspective to our team. Her working background includes:

Cassidy is in her third year of Bachelor of Business Administration. She is working towards graduating with a major in Human Resources and a minor in Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship. With this degree, she hopes to work in agriculture after graduation. She wants to help the agriculture community grow and prosper while educating the world on the vital importance of the agricultural industry to all our lives.

In between classes and working at Real HR Inc., Cassidy works as a Residence Advisor at Mount Royal University Residence Services. Here she supports residents in her community with classes, mental health, community engagement and everything in-between. She has learned time management, communication, planning, organization, and customer orientation.

Cassidy loves Human Resources because of her passion for helping people. She loves problem-solving and the work that needs to be done to have people (and companies) reach their full potential.
