How do you ensure that you survive the ups and downs of your local economy? You make sure that you have a varied and diverse network. All ages, all industries, you need connections now more than ever.

In early April, I had the pleasure of engaging with the participants of the Alberta Common Ground Alliance at their Dig Safe conference in Red Deer, Alberta. Our topic? Networking. By the end of the session, everyone had the chance to develop their personal networking plan, an elevator pitch, and a twitter account.
